Ukrainian Chicken in Cream with Dill

Garden veggies are ready and there is nothing better for that first fresh meal than Chicken cooked in Cream and Dill like the Ukees do.

5-6 pieces of your favorite chicken parts
Finding the Ukrainian chicken is the hard part
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
sprinkle of Pepper
4 heaping  tbsp. butter
1 cup water
1 new onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. fresh chopped dill
1 cup whipping cream
2 tsp. flour
Dredge chicken in flour and salt, and brown in butter gently.  When browned add sliced onions and garlic and water.  Simmer for 40 minutes.  Mix flour and cream and add to browned chicken mixture.  Sprinkle with dill.  Do not boil, just heat to hot.  Serve with new potatoes and carrots.

The best summer dish ever!
This is when an electric frying pan comes in handy.

Glampingbaba Stickabella

Well thanks to Hayley and Kassie....I did get a spot in Empty Town even tho' I was snotted up physically at home instead of in my Glampavela tent for 2011.
Lookin' quite Fabulous I must say.

Just what I always wanted...a can of Kokanee and a dog between my legs.
  A weiner dog to boot.

Couldn't have dressed myself better for the occasion.
Love, love my legs!
Thanks B.J and Kassie and Hayley.
This was the best fashionista picture ever.
Wooohooo....I must get one of those pink bras.

My First Fashionista Diva

The first fashionista I can remember as a kid was a comic book Diva named Katy Keene.  Comic books were printed of her in the 1950's in a time when every kid looked forward to reading the next edition of their favorite comic bok character.  Katy Keene was beautiful, and all her comic books had pin up clothes you could cut out and dress her paper cutouts.  Readers were encouraged to draw their own fashions and if you were lucky yours made the comic book with your name.  I was too young to submit but my first role model for drawing fashions for Katy was an older girl named Mary Chomiak.  I was probably grade four...she probably grade seven.  She could draw beautiful Katy Keene images and fashions. She had scrapbooks of sketched and painted images from the comic books.   I envied her ability to recreate these images and her talents.  I have still never forgotten them after 50 years.

Two days before going camping and the wrath of Alberta hit Barb's house....bloody hail. All her plants are destroyed for the summer.
